No. The DH4300 Plus is a diskless NAS, so hard drives are sold separately. Its four SATA bays accept 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA drives and support up to 128TB of raw capacity with four 32TB drives. It does not have M.2 NVMe slots for SSD caching or a separate SSD storage pool.

Yes. You can begin with one drive in Basic mode or two matched drives in RAID 1, then add sufficient drives and migrate upward through supported paths such as Basic → RAID 1 → RAID 5. JBOD and RAID 0 cannot be migrated to RAID 5.
With four matching 32TB drives, RAID 5 provides approximately 96TB before formatting overhead and protects against one drive failure. RAID 6 and RAID 10 provide approximately 64TB; RAID 6 can tolerate two drive failures, while RAID 10 requires failures to occur in separate mirrored pairs. The DH4300 Plus supports Docker, but it does not support virtual machines. Its fixed 8GB LPDDR4X memory and ARM processor suit lightweight containers rather than an expandable homelab with multiple resource-intensive services.

Yes, the DH4300 Plus can serve a home media library, but it is best planned around direct playback rather than demanding remote transcoding. It provides HDMI 4K60 output, DLNA, and UGREEN media applications for local playback.
