Note:

1. Compatibility information is based on UGREEN testing and is provided for reference only. Actual compatibility may vary depending on the product model, firmware/software version, and device configuration.

2. Compatibility testing cannot cover every third-party product or usage scenario. Changes in hardware, firmware, or software may affect compatibility and stability.

3. For the best experience, we recommend using products that have passed UGREEN compatibility testing. The compatibility list may be updated as products and software evolve.

4. For storage devices: HDDs and SSDs have a limited lifespan. Please regularly check drive health and take appropriate measures to prevent potential data loss.

5. For RAID storage: We do not recommend using SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) drives or mixing old and new drives in the same RAID array, as this may increase the risk of data loss.

6. If you encounter compatibility issues, please contact UGREEN customer service for assistance.

UGREEN NAS Compatibility FAQs

Select your exact UGREEN NAS model, choose the hardware type, then filter the results by the component’s brand, specification, series, model number, capacity, or protocol where available. Confirm the full part number; do not choose a component based only on its brand, capacity, or DDR generation.

An unlisted component is not automatically incompatible, but UGREEN has not verified basic interoperability for that exact component and NAS model. UGREEN cannot guarantee its stability or performance. For important data, choose a tested model from the compatibility list. If you use an unlisted component, test it before relying on it for important data and maintain a separate backup.

Select your NAS model and choose Memory module. The compatibility list shows tested module part numbers, but memory-slot count and official capacity limits vary by NAS model. For model-level limits and slots, compare UGREEN NAS specifications.

For always-on storage and RAID, use NAS-rated CMR drives where possible and verify the exact part number in this compatibility list. SMR drives are not recommended because sustained rewrites and RAID rebuilds can be slower and less predictable. For capacity, workload, and drive-type guidance, see the NAS drive buying guide.

Different capacities may work, but usable RAID capacity is generally limited by the smallest drive in the array. Mixing old and new drives in the same RAID array is not recommended because older drives may be more likely to fail during the higher load of an array rebuild. Use the RAID capacity calculator to estimate usable capacity before building or expanding an array.

Select your NAS model, then choose 2.5-inch SSD for a SATA SSD or M.2 SSD for an M.2 drive. Verify the exact manufacturer model number in the results. A drive’s form factor, capacity, or brand alone does not confirm compatibility with every NAS model.

No. The compatibility list does not provide a SAS-drive category or a SAS compatibility confirmation. Do not assume that a SAS drive is supported because it fits physically or can be connected through an adapter. Use only a component category and exact part number that the list supports for your NAS model.

Select your exact NAS model, choose UPS, and verify the UPS model in the results. A listed result confirms basic hardware interoperability; it does not calculate runtime or guarantee that the UPS can support your full load. For wattage, runtime, communications, and safe-shutdown guidance, use the NAS UPS buying and setup guide.

Yes. NAS firmware and hardware revisions can affect component recognition, stability, and performance. If a previously working component develops a problem after an update, recheck its exact model number in this list, record the NAS firmware version, and use the Download Center card above to locate the correct model-specific update files.
